The End Times

Hello Dear Ones!

We are living in very surreal times. The Bible is unfolding daily before us. It’s time to seek God and KNOW Him, His Word and His voice. When we are walking with God, there is comfort in knowing that He holds the world in His hands, and nothing surprises Him. He neither slumbers nor sleeps. He is like no other. We can trust Him COMPLETELY with our lives no matter what happens on this earth. It may look like everything is falling apart, yet HE IS STILL ON THE THRONE. And actually a lot of things are coming together and quickly. Life as we have known it has dramatically changed. We can’t climb under a rock or stick our heads in the sand to avoid everything going on around us.

Be reassured that GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL. The world system may be spinning out of control, but GOD’S KINGDOM WILL NEVER BE SHAKEN NOR WILL IT EVER COME TO AN END. In fact, God’s Kingdom is advancing and soon we will see even more Scripture unfold.

In the Book of Daniel, the Scriptures speak of THE END TIMES. Clearly, we are now living in the end times. And watching Israel (GOD’S LAND) is vitally important to knowing what’s ahead. Michael the Archangel has the job of watching over Israel.

It’s not uncommon to have a hard time understanding some Scriptures. But just reading the Scriptures gives you the opportunity to be enlightened to the Truth. Ask God to reveal the meaning as you read.

Let’s read Daniel Chapter 12

“At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.”

Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood two others, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank. One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?”

The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time. When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.

I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?”

He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

11 “From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. 12 Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.

13 “As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.

Heavenly Father,

Help us to humble ourselves and pray and seek Your face and turn from any ways that are not pleasing to You. Forgive us Lord. Heal us and heal our land. Give us revelation for the times that we now live in and how to prepare for the days ahead. Amen.

Blessings,

Sherry

God Tested Abraham

Hello Dear Ones!

If you’ve ever wondered whether or not God tests people, then just read the story of Abraham.

Abraham proved his faith in God when he obeyed Him by taking Isaac, his only son, up on Mount Moriah to offer him up to God. Abraham KNEW God and HIS WAYS and HIS CHARACTER and TRUSTED HIM. That was why he was able to obey God on Mount Moriah.

Take special notice of verse 5: He said to his servants, “Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.”

And also notice verse 7 & 8:

Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?”

“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.

“The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

8 Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together.

Let’s read Genesis 22: 1–18

1 Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!”

“Here I am,” he replied.

2 Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”

3 Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about. 4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. 5 He said to his servants, “Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.”

6 Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together, 7 Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?”

“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.

“The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

8 Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together.

9 When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. 10 Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. 11 But the angel of the Lord called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!”

“Here I am,” he replied.

12 “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.”

13 Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”

15 The angel of the Lord called to Abraham from heaven a second time 16 and said, “I swear by myself, declares the Lord, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, 17 I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, 18 and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”

No doubt about it, God TESTED Abraham. And Abraham believed God would come through for him in whatever way God chose to do that.

Did he believe God would raise Isaac from the dead?

Was he believing that God would stop him before he lowered the knife?

Was he expecting the ram to be on the mountain?

We don’t know exactly what Abraham was thinking as “he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.” But we do know he trusted God’s love for him completely and he knew God’s plan was ultimately good.

I pray we will trust and obey God, whatever He asked of us. But it’s hard to trust someone you don’t know. We need to KNOW HIM and HIS WAYS, HIS CHARACTER and HIS NATURE. The more we know Him, the more we will be able to trust Him. There is no one like Him! Don’t compare Him to anyone. He is 100% trustworthy, 100% of the time.

Isaiah 25:1

O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.

Psalm 111:7

The works of His hands are truth and justice; All His precepts are sure.

Psalm 18:30

As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.

“Okay, Okay, I’ll Go… “

Hello Precious Ones!

Have you ever felt in your heart or had a thought in your mind that the Lord wanted you to do or say something, but instead of doing it, you backed out and didn’t follow through? Perhaps you didn’t want to put yourself in a situation where you might feel uncomfortable or possibly look foolish?

I think a lot of us have experienced that.

Did you have regret later and wish you’d just followed through on the unction?

Well, hopefully you didn’t end up wrapped in a bunch of seaweed and whale slime like Jonah!

I love the story of Jonah in the Bible. It gives a clear picture of the importance of obeying God and how it’s to our benefit to simply say, “Yes, Lord” as soon as He speaks because one never knows what lengths He will go to in order to get our attention if we run away from Him or turn a deaf ear.

I hope you enjoy the cartoon I drew depicting Jonah’s surrender to the Lord… finally.

Jonah seems like such a character. I really look forward to meeting him and hearing more about how his Nineveh assignment went. I’m looking forward to meeting all the Biblical characters in glory! What a great time of rejoicing that will be!

Michael the Archangel

SHARING MY HEART AND PASSION

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to visit.

I really enjoyed working on the Michael the Archangel sculpture, and I’m excited to make it available to you.

It seems that Michael the Archangel has a special responsibility to guard the nation of Israel, according to Daniel 12:1. And Michael has a specific assignment related to the end days and God’s plan for Israel.

God’s angels are His ministering spirits, and He chooses what their assignments are. Yahweh Sabaoth—one of the many names of God—is translated as “God of the angels.”

God’s angels are supernatural beings created by Him, and they are not to be worshipped or prayed to. But they are to be respected as His ministering servants. They are:

  • Worshipers of God
  • Messengers of God
  • Protectors of God’s people
  • Sent by God to carry out assignments
  • Sent by God to carry out His judgments

Be sure to check out my sculpture of Michael the Archangel HERE.

Blessings,

Sherry
