God Keeps His Promises

Shalom Dear Ones!

I hope you are staying well and in the shalom of God.

Life has certainly changed during this worldwide pandemic, and many of the things that we have taken for granted and relied on have come to a halt.

But God’s Word has not changed, and we can ALWAYS rely on Him to uphold His Word. His Word is an anchor to our soul. When circumstances, trials and tribulations attempt to bring swirling winds of anxiety, we can stay in perfect peace when God’s Word is kept in the forefront of our minds and on our lips.

God has given His people many promises in His Word. And GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES.

Even when life throws a huge curve ball making it look impossible for His promises to be fulfilled, HE IS FAITHFUL.

But He does require us to remain faithful and trust Him to perform His Word.

For instance, Abraham was given specific promises, and although in the natural, they looked impossible at times, God proved Himself faithful. And He will do it again and again.

Let’s read Genesis 17:1-8

“When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless. Then I will make my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers.”

“Abram fell facedown, and God said to him, “As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations.  I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you.  I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. The whole land of Canaan, where you now reside as a foreigner, I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you; and I will be their God.

What promise are you waiting for God to fulfill in your life? Be patient, faithful and steadfast, and He will bring it to pass.

Heavenly Father,

Help me to trust You and remain faithful to You no matter what. Give me the revelation in Your Word that will build an anchor in my soul to keep me stable in times of trouble.

Amen.

Blessings,

Sherry

The End Times

Biblical Sculpture by Sherry Heller

SHARING MY HEART AND PASSION

Hello Dear Ones!

We are living in very surreal times. The Bible is unfolding daily before us. It’s time to seek God and KNOW Him, His Word and His voice. When we are walking with God, there is comfort in knowing that He holds the world in His hands, and nothing surprises Him. He neither slumbers nor sleeps. He is like no other. We can trust Him COMPLETELY with our lives no matter what happens on this earth. It may look like everything is falling apart, yet HE IS STILL ON THE THRONE. And actually a lot of things are coming together and quickly. Life as we have known it has dramatically changed. We can’t climb under a rock or stick our heads in the sand to avoid everything going on around us.

Be reassured that GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL. The world system may be spinning out of control, but GOD’S KINGDOM WILL NEVER BE SHAKEN NOR WILL IT EVER COME TO AN END. In fact, God’s Kingdom is advancing and soon we will see even more Scripture unfold.

In the Book of Daniel, the Scriptures speak of THE END TIMES. Clearly, we are now living in the end times. And watching Israel (GOD’S LAND) is vitally important to knowing what’s ahead. Michael the Archangel has the job of watching over Israel.

It’s not uncommon to have a hard time understanding some Scriptures. But just reading the Scriptures gives you the opportunity to be enlightened to the Truth. Ask God to reveal the meaning as you read.

Let’s read Daniel Chapter 12

“At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.”

Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood two others, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank. One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?”

The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time. When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.

I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?”

He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

11 “From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. 12 Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.

13 “As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.

Heavenly Father,

Help us to humble ourselves and pray and seek Your face and turn from any ways that are not pleasing to You. Forgive us Lord. Heal us and heal our land. Give us revelation for the times that we now live in and how to prepare for the days ahead. Amen.

Blessings,

Sherry

Global Wake-Up Call

Biblical Sculpture by Sherry Heller

SHARING MY HEART AND PASSION

Hello Precious Ones!

It’s a very sobering time in the world, and I pray you are staying well and safe during this horrible pandemic. It is definitely a GLOBAL WAKE-UP CALL. If ever there was a time to humble ourselves and cry out to God for His intervention, it is now. When we realize that we don’t have complete control of our lives, it’s very humbling. When we realize that we are not the captain of our ship, we can feel helpless in the storm-tossed waves of life.

But the good news is that THE ALMIGHTY, EL SHADDAI, the ONE who sits on the throne and rules the universe is in ULTIMATE control. And He has given us His Word to guide us. In His Word, we will find the answers we desperately need.

When we seek God, we can count on Him to speak to us and mostly through the Scriptures. As you read the following Scriptures, take special notice of the part where God is speaking and He says, “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people… “

Notice, it’s God that is doing it. Hmm.

The Lord Appears to Solomon

2 Chronicles 7:11–22

“When Solomon had finished the temple of the Lord and the royal palace, and had succeeded in carrying out all he had in mind to do in the temple of the Lord and in his own palace, the Lord appeared to him at night and said:

“I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifices.

“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.

“As for you, if you walk before me faithfully as David your father did, and do all I command, and observe my decrees and laws, I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father when I said, ‘You shall never fail to have a successor to rule over Israel.’

“But if youturn away and forsake the decrees and commands I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them, then I will uproot Israel from my land, which I have given them, and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples. This temple will become a heap of rubble. All who pass by will be appalled and say, ‘Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’ People will answer, ‘Because they have forsaken the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who brought them out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them—that is why he brought all this disaster on them.’”

You have to admit that as a nation and throughout the world, things are not as God originally intended. Sin is rampant. God is mocked and dishonored. And by LEGAL CHOICE, over 125,000 innocent babies are murdered in the womb DAILY throughout the world. A good and loving God CANNOT ignore such horror. A God of justice HAS to wake us up. Yes, this pandemic is HORRIBLE that thousands are dying daily throughout the world, but it will be MORE HORRIBLE if it DOESN’T wake us up.

2 Chronicles 7:14

“… if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Heavenly Father, help us to humble ourselves and pray and seek Your face and turn from any ways that are not pleasing to You. Forgive us Lord. Heal us and heal our land. Amen.

Blessings,

Sherry

God Tested Abraham

Biblical Sculpture by Sherry Heller

SHARING MY HEART AND PASSION

Hello Dear Ones!

If you’ve ever wondered whether or not God tests people, then just read the story of Abraham.

Abraham proved his faith in God when he obeyed Him by taking Isaac, his only son, up on Mount Moriah to offer him up to God. Abraham KNEW God and HIS WAYS and HIS CHARACTER and TRUSTED HIM. That was why he was able to obey God on Mount Moriah.

Take special notice of verse 5: He said to his servants, “Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.”

And also notice verse 7 & 8:

Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?”

“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.

“The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

8 Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together.

Let’s read Genesis 22: 1–18

1 Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!”

“Here I am,” he replied.

2 Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”

3 Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about. 4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. 5 He said to his servants, “Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.”

6 Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together, 7 Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?”

“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.

“The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

8 Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together.

9 When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. 10 Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. 11 But the angel of the Lord called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!”

“Here I am,” he replied.

12 “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.”

13 Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”

15 The angel of the Lord called to Abraham from heaven a second time 16 and said, “I swear by myself, declares the Lord, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, 17 I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, 18 and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”

No doubt about it, God TESTED Abraham. And Abraham believed God would come through for him in whatever way God chose to do that.

Did he believe God would raise Isaac from the dead?

Was he believing that God would stop him before he lowered the knife?

Was he expecting the ram to be on the mountain?

We don’t know exactly what Abraham was thinking as “he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.” But we do know he trusted God’s love for him completely and he knew God’s plan was ultimately good.

I pray we will trust and obey God, whatever He asked of us. But it’s hard to trust someone you don’t know. We need to KNOW HIM and HIS WAYS, HIS CHARACTER and HIS NATURE. The more we know Him, the more we will be able to trust Him. There is no one like Him! Don’t compare Him to anyone. He is 100% trustworthy, 100% of the time.

Isaiah 25:1

O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.

Psalm 111:7

The works of His hands are truth and justice; All His precepts are sure.

Psalm 18:30

As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.

Fear Not

Biblical Sculpture by Sherry Heller

SHARING MY HEART AND PASSION

Hello Dear Ones,

At the time of this writing, we are facing the horrible Coronavirus pandemic. Life as we know it has been turned upside down for many of us. Churches are shutting their doors, but thankfully, many can still stream their services online. Stores are out of basic supplies like toilet paper! Many are not at all prepared for anything like this. I wish I could say this will all blow over and life will get back to “normal.” But that is not necessarily so.

We live in perilous times, and we need to live close to God every moment. Most likely everyone reading this is either in a crisis, coming out of a crisis or preparing to go into one. This is life in 2020. And if you read the Scriptures, you know that much worse is coming.

But the GOOD NEWS is that God is still on the throne and always will be! And we can come through any trial and crisis victoriously as we stay hidden under the shadow of HIS wings.

I hope you are staying well and practicing wisdom in all your decisions. I want to encourage you to “FEAR NOT” and look to the Lord during these times. I hope you are trusting HIM with your life. I know It’s easier said than done at times, but we must not allow our thinking to go in the direction of the ditch and hopelessness.

Here are some Scriptures to meditate on that can get us through this crisis victoriously:

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Psalm 91:7

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

Dear Ones, while I’m home working on my inspirational sculptures, I hope everyone reading this will be inspired by God’s promises in His Word and His faithfulness. We have a great cloud of witnesses in heaven cheering us on to victory! Stay well.

But before you say goodbye, take a look at my sculptures and be inspired by the characters in the Bible who also faced trials.

Blessings,

Sherry
